Construction Management

The Construction Management Program at UC is a comprehensive five-year cooperative education experience that leads to a Bachelor of Science and is accredited by the American Council on Construction Education (ACCE).  The program prepares students to become managers who have a strong understanding of the technical and management principles applied to today‚Äôs complex construction projects.

Students in the CM program have the opportunity to gain knowledge in several ways:

  • Through CM coursework, students acquire skills in planning, control, communication, problem-solving, resource management, constructability, contracts, safety, scheduling, estimating, and construction operations.
  • Through five semesters of co-op experiences, students learn to apply these skills to real life construction projects and develop industry connections with potential future employers.
  • Through involvement with construction-related student groups (the Construction Student Association, Student Women in Construction, the American Concrete Institute, the US Green Building Council, and more) students develop leadership, teamwork, and decision-making skills.
