Biography

Yoonjee Park earned her PhD in 2010 from Purdue University’s School of Chemical Engineering during which time she also worked as a Graduate Research Associate developing lung surfactant formulations and investigating the colloidal and interfacial phenomena. Her Masters of Science in chemical engineering is also from Purdue University, and before that she received her BS in Chemical and Biomedical Engineering from Seoul National University.

Park is an active member of multiple esteemed professional organizations including the Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) 2011-present, and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) 2008-present. In addition, Park has several provisional patents waiting to be granted and is an accomplished writer and speaker. She is also an avid researcher, having spent time studying various scientific pursuits at Seoul National University, Purdue University, Boston University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Most recently, she has been at MIT studying ultrasound-triggered drug delivery using phase-shift nanoemulsion for neural behavior therapy.
