This one week day camp will allow you to develop your creativity as well as provide you with the opportunity to meet and speak with working engineers.
In the mornings, you will work on campus with different engineering departments, learning and completing hands-on projects to better understand the breadth and variety of different engineering fields. In the afternoons, you will visit various corporate engineering plants such as GE Aviation, Procter & Gamble and Northrop Grumman Xetron to meet professional engineers and see their work in action. Throughout the week, you will also take part in teamwork activities, group projects and sessions to learn about college preparation, approaches to teamwork, professional development and more.
Monday - Thursday: 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Friday: 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. (Parent luncheon begins at 11:45 a.m.)
Must be a female entering the 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade in Fall 2015. Thirty-five students will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis.
A fee of $250.00 per student is required. Lunch each day, camp materials, transportation to and from field trips, and a luncheon at the Faculty Club (with two additional guests) on Friday afternoon will be provided.
The registration for the Women in Engineering & Applied Science 2015 Camp will go live on Monday, February 16, 2015. Camp attendance is limited to 35 students who will be entering 9th–12th grades in Fall 2015 and participants are admitted on a first-come, first-served basis.
