Discussion with Dr. Njema Frazier

Our E-Week activities kick off with a conversation with Dr. Njema Frazier, a 2017 Black Entertainment Television (BET) Black Girls Who Rock (in STEM) Honoree.

Dr. Frazier is a physicist with the Department of Energy's National Nuclear Security Administration. She currently serves as the Acting Director of the Office of Inertial Confinement Fusion, which provides experimental capabilities and scientific understanding for weapons-relevant high energy density physics.

In 2017, she was recognized as a Black Girls Rock honoree, along with Maxine Waters, Issa Rae, Solange Knowles and others. Dr. Frazier is the founder of the Algebra by 7th Grade (AB7G) program and is a national advisor to the National Society of Black Engineers.

DreamManagers Mentorship Event

"A mentor is someone who sees more talent and ability within you, than you see in yourself, and helps bring it out of you."

-Bob Proctor

We are encouraging all students and community members to come out to learn about our new mentorship program.  The Dream Managers will match undergraduate students with older, experienced students and professionals who will help them achieve their dreams, not just of being an engineer but of being an all-around individual with many dreams and desires.  The mentorship program will help individuals receive guidance in multiple areas of their lives, including but not limited to their academic pursuits.

We look forward to seeing you there!
