TIME LINE

The Ohio Mechanic's Institute & Wood Technology Program history can be traced back to the early 1800's during the Industrial Revolution. A Time Line shows all major milestone's in this institution's history.

TECH EXPO

In 1838, the Ohio Mechanic's institute held its first "Tech Expo" with the objective "to bring before the people specimens of the products of home industry that both the merchant and the consumer may see at one view the variety and quality of our manufacturers."

A copy of the 2nd Annual Tech Expo held in 1839 and a copy of the 16th Annual Tech Expo held in 1858 are available for download. (NOTE: These are large files & will open in a new window.)
