Students who have a talent for learning language is undoubtedly helpful along with the desire to improve communication with those in the Hispanic/Latino community while in the health care or social service profession.

The classes in Spanish are relatively small, which allows for more contact between students and teachers.

Most of the professors are native speakers.

• Some of the courses can be applied toward the certificates in Film Studies, Latin American Studies and European Studies.
• There are numerous opportunities for service learning with local schools, hospitals, clinics, and other agencies.

Make sure that you have declared the certificate program online. Next, make sure that the certificate program director is aware of when you are finishing the program. If you are pursuing another bachelor's degree, your certificate will be reviewed at the time that you submit your separate degree application.
