Quantum Design (QD) DynaCool Physical Property Measurement System (PPMS)

  • Temperature range of 1.8 K to 400 K
  • Superconducting magnet with range of -9 T to +9 T
  • High vacuum chamber
  • Electrical breakout box combined with LabVIEW controls for customized, automated experiments
  • QD Resistivity Measurement System
  • QD Electrical Transport Option (ETO)

Customized cryostat station

  •  Janis continuous flow liquid nitrogen cryostat (with option for liquid helium)
  • Temperature range of 78 K to 400 K (lower with liquid helium)
  • Lakeshore EM4 electromagnet with range of -1.2 T to +1.2 T
  • High vacuum capability
  • Instrumentation and LabVIEW controls for customized, automated experiments

Glovebox

  • Argon environment for oxygen-free storage and sample preparation
  • Sight-glass integrated microscope for preparing samples for measurement
