Our City. Our Campus. Our Co-op.
Worth It
U.S. News & World Report ranks UC co-op among nation’s Top 5. Our co-op program promotes paid on-the-job experience and increases career options following graduation.
Our Value
Cooperative education—or co-op for short—allows you to alternate semesters of classroom learning with semesters working full-time at a job in your major and help pay for college. We're ranked in the top 5 for co-op (US News) and students earn a total of $61,000 on average. The best part? You have five different co-op positions to learn what interests you in your field.
More than 90 percent of our students have full-time job offers before graduation and many of those offers come from a former co-op employer.
Real-world Experience
Choose to stay close-to-campus in Cincinnati or travel the globe for your co-op position. You have more than 1,300 companies to choose from including Tesla, Toyota, Apple, Microsoft, GE Aerospace, Procter & Gamble, and more.
Olivia Sieger, | Germantown, MD
Architectural Engineering, Class of ‘26“Since we get paid on co-op, the program enables me to pay for a lot of my tuition, which was initially a huge concern for me as an out-of-state student. I also love how there is so much to do on and off campus and there are so many ways you can get involved in organizations on campus or even start your own!”
Quinn Graessle | Ballwin, MO
Architectural Engineering, Class of ‘26“When I visited and discovered the co-op program, it was a no-brainer decision. I've appreciated the opportunity to sample different career paths and I wouldn't be in the place I am now without it.”
