Department of Biomedical Engineering

Biomedical Engineering

We prepare students to excel and lead in the 21st century. Our course work is designed to prepare students to succeed in industry positions as well as in graduate, medical or professional schools. Our students will learn to develop new devices, procedures and treatment strategies to solve medical and health related problems.  Our students have designed new surgical instruments and care delivery systems and have examined normal, diseased and healing tissues to create the next generation of therapies.

Biomedical engineering students choose from two tracks:

  • Medical Device Innovation and Entrepreneurship
  • Research Translational Innovation and Entrepreneurship
