Danis Scholarship Award

Founded in 1916 by B. G. Danis, Danis is a third generation, privately owned company based in Dayton, Ohio. Danis serves the Midwest and Southeast region of our country, specializing in public and private building and industrial projects.

The Danis Scholarship is awarded to 5 senior high school women or men in the amount of $1000 each. Danis Scholarship recipients shall be selected by the University of Cincinnati College of Engineering and Applied Science.

 Danis Scholarship Award Eligibility:

  • 2021 Participant in the CEAS Engineering and Applied Science Summer Camp
  • 2022 High School Graduate
  • Demonstrates leadership and service in high school and community
  • Minimum GPA of 3.2 (unweighted)
  • Interested in studying Construction Management, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering at the University of Cincinnati College of Engineering and Applied Science
  • Completes essay submission to the prompt “Please share how your experiences will influence the field of engineering, why you are interested in studying Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering and how the scholarship will help in my pursuit of my college degree” (500-word max, Times New Roman Font - 12).   

Your completed application must be submitted by July 28th, 2021 12:00 midnight.

Notification of Danis Scholarship Award:

Danis Scholarship recipients will be notified on Friday, July 30, 2021.  After receiving acceptance into Construction Management, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering at the University of Cincinnati College of Engineering, Danis Scholars must submit their Danis Scholarship Award to Women in Engineering wieprogram@uc.edu by May 1st, 2022.  To receive the non-renewable Danis Scholarship Award, the student must be enrolled as a full-time student in the University of Cincinnati College of Engineering and Applied Science in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering program.

UC College of Engineering & Applied Summer Camp Scholarship Award

The University of Cincinnati College of Engineering and Applied Science Scholarship is awarded to 5 senior high school women and/or men in the amount of $1000 each. The scholarship recipients shall be selected by the University of Cincinnati College of Engineering and Applied Science.

Scholarship Award Eligibility:

 

  • 2021 Participant in the CEAS Engineering and Applied Science Summer Camp (9th, 10th, 11th or 12th)
  • Demonstrates leadership and service in high school and community
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 (unweighted)
  • Interested in studying engineering or applied science at the University of Cincinnati College of Engineering and Applied Science
  • Completes essay submission to the prompt: “Please share how your experiences will influence the field of engineering, why I am interested in studying engineering or applied science and how the scholarship will help in my pursuit of my college degree” (500-word max, Times New Roman Font - 12).  

 

Notification of Scholarship Award:

 Scholarship recipients will be notified on Friday, July 30, 2021.  After receiving acceptance into the University of Cincinnati College of Engineering, Scholars must submit their UC College of Engineering & Applied Science Summer Camp Scholarship Award to Women in Engineering wieprogram@uc.edu by May 15th of their high school graduation year.  To receive the non-renewable Scholarship Award, the student must be enrolled as a full-time student in the University of Cincinnati College of Engineering and Applied Science.
