The criteria on this page applies to: First-Year Engineering Program (FEP) students.

New criteria is available for the 2021-2022 academic year. CEAS will review applicants applying for Fall 2021 admission according to the 2020-2021 criteria (listed at the bottom of this page).

FEP applicants can apply to CEAS programs during any academic semester.

Policies

  • You have guaranteed admission to CEAS majors if you meet the criteria outlined below
  • CEAS reserves the right to consider academic misconduct and related circumstances as part of our application review process
  • You can remain in FEP for up to three consecutive semesters (i.e. fall, spring, summer)
  • You can be enrolled in the minimum credit hours and/or courses when you submit your application as long as you plan to complete the requirements by the end of the current semester
  • Your CEAS advisor will determine your transition schedule and timeline to co-op/graduation after you are accepted.

Application Considerations

  • Students must complete one full academic semester in FEP
  • FEP students are guaranteed admission to CEAS majors if they meet the criteria outlined below; other factors may be considered (i.e. academic misconduct)
  • Students can remain in FEP for up to three consecutive academic semesters (i.e. fall, spring, summer)
  • Transition plan and timeline to co-op and/or graduation will be determined after acceptance; program may require up to five additional years of study
