Undergraduate Research Co-op Fellowship (URCF)

The undergraduate research fellowship program offers you the opportunity to work under the guidance of CEAS faculty researchers. Students that participate in the will benefit in several ways, including:

  • Financial compensation at a very competitive level.
  • The building of a research pathway to graduate program admission, especially in UC CEAS programs.
  • The building of a research pathway to a potential capstone project.
  • Publishing of results in the Scholar@UC research repository and elsewhere

Compensation

$15/hour, 40 hours/week, for 15 weeks ($9,000 total) to support research in any engineering field. 

Application Process & Requirements

Apply for the Fellowship in PAL. Note that the application requires that you:

  • Specify three (3) CEAS faculty with whom you would be interested in working with. To identify faculty, use:
  • Provide the contact information of two (2) previous co-op supervisors willing to serve as a reference.
  • Selected students will receive co-op offers mid-late February 2022

Application Eligibility

  • Enrollment at UC during Summer 2022 semester in a program leading to an undergraduate degree awardedby CEAS
  • Certified eligible to co-op
  • Minimum of two (2) previous co-op experiences by Spring 2022
  • UC cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher
  • Prior participation in the CEAS Protégé program is encouraged but not required

Student Outcomes
