Convection Heat Transfer Examples

In this example, conjugate convection heat transfer in an offset-strip fin with constant and uniform top and bottom temperatures is simulated. To reduce the number of cells that are needed for the investigation, the periodic boundary condition is applied, and the calculation domain is discretized by structured cells. From the flow and temperature visualization, the interruption and redevelopment of the boundary layers can be clearly seen. The pressure and mean temperature can also be obtained from post processing.
