Why study Organizational Leadership : Talent Development?
The certificate in Organizational Leadership - Talent Development (TD) will be available to undergraduate students within and outside of A&S who wish to complement their major field of study with coursework in Organizational Leadership. The certificate combines core coursework in the various functional areas of Talent Development with elective courses that enable students to sample a variety of topics relating to leadership, teamwork, and diversity. The objective of the certificate is to provide a fundamental understanding of Organizational Leadership - Talent Development as a discipline and potential career choice.
Admission Requirements
Students already pursuing a degree in any college at UC can add the certificate to their program. Be sure to submit a declaration of the certificate program using our online form.
In addition, you must meet with the program director so that they are aware that you are pursuing the certificate and can advise you appropriately. Do this early enough to avoid delay in obtaining your certificate.
Students not currently pursuing a degree may declare the certificate after establishing non-matriculated status.
Successful students need to enjoy working in team-based environments and desire to make an impact in their organizations and communities. They understand how organizations function, have strong critical thinking and problem solving skills and are self-, socially-, and globally-aware. These characteristics enable our students to succeed in a variety of careers, including human resources, sales, banking and public service.

If you have declared the certificate then it will appear on your application for graduation. Apply for graduation as you normally would for your bachelor’s degree.
